IMS Ibiza Rocks Hard
The Ibiza International Music Summit is just around the corner and the world’s most important and influential music industry gatherings, is moving to a new home for the seventh annual conference. Electronic music delegates and industry executives will head to Ibiza’s most hotly anticipated newcomer, the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza!
Bozboz MAS are key technology partner for the International Music Summit, working with them for several years and providing their digital platform – and the soon-to-open Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza in Playa D’en Bossa will be the sundrenched platform for IMS in 2014 – the new hotel’s first major event, and a natural progression for the summit as its international reputation grows.
IMS delegates and guests will have the use of a five-star hotel and all its state of the art facilities – all in the surrounding of Playa D’en Bossa - the new music hub of Ibiza dubbed the ‘South Beach of Ibiza’. Creating more networking opportunities among the summit’s delegates is key for the growth and expansion of the conference and Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will provide just that.
IMS partner Ben Turner states: “IMS was created so people can debate and be inspired about the future of a technology-driven genre of music, so inevitably our host venue needs to move with the times also.”
He also comments: “IMS was created so people can debate and be inspired about the future of a technology-driven genre of music, so inevitably our host venue needs to move with the times also.”
After earning a reputation as ‘the TED of music conferences’, IMS brings together the genre’s most important and influential decision makers along with leading thinkers, futurists, trailblazers, artists, global brands and technology pioneers to debate, announce and explain new initiatives and strategies. The summit is also a springboard for some of the most creative minds in music – who unveil new music, strategies, apps and more, along with showcases of the newest breakthrough artists. In 2014 the infamous IMS Legends Dinner, held in the name of a leading artist who has shaped the scene, will honour Nile Rodgers, whose talk at IMS 2013 was one of the standout moments.
With the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza due to open on 18th May 2014, just in time for the Summit, Ben Turner says: “This is a major opportunity for us to create a new home as we expand with the genre and with the ambitions of our delegates. We are impressed with the work of the Hard Rock group and feel we are in good hands. The irony of the history and name of the hotel is not lost on us - this is a true reflection of how our music is seeping into mainstream culture worldwide and continuing to break down barriers of entry.”
Corporate Director of sales and marketing at Palladium Hotel Group, behind Hard Rock Hotel, Juan Jose Calvo says: “With music being one of the most important aspects of our new hotel, there is a natural compatibility between IMS and Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza.”
